Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, a Nigerian Grammy award winner, has achieved a milestone with the remix of his hit song Essence, which features Canadian music star Justin Bieber.
Wizkid surprised his fans on Friday, August 13 2021 by releasing a remix to the “tune of the summer,” which initially featured Tems, a Nigerian singer.
Justin Bieber spiced up the Afrobeats blockbuster hit with his remix.
The remix has climbed to the 30th spot on the US Apple music chart in just 23 hours, while it is firmly positioned in the 21st spot on Apple music’s global music chart.
It also surpassed a million YouTube views in less than a day, making it the fourth song in Wizzy’s career to do so.
