Nigerian singer, Wizkid is clear on his way to a second Grammy-award win after his American fans were spotted dancing and singing to his “Essence” hit-song with Tems.
Since its release “Essence” has become a major hit, featuring on Barack Obama’s favourite songs of 2020 playlist. In January 2020 it peaked #2 on UK Afrobeats Singles Chart top 20.
Celebrities like Snoop Dogg, P Diddy, kevin hart and others have also shared videos of themselves vibing to “Essence” in their spare time and at public occasions.
Judging from the height the song has gained, a lot of fans have predicted that Wizkid is on his way to a second Grammy-award win.
The Nigerian superstar recently announced a North American tour to promote his latest studio album “Made In Lagos”.
His tour which is scheduled to kick off from Sept. 10th will see him in Boston and hits major cities including Brooklyn, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami through October before closing out with a pair of Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal in January.
