American news magazine TIME has crowned Nigerian superstars, Wizkid’s ‘Essence (Remix)‘ as it’s second best song for the year 2021.

Released in 2020 off off Wizkid’s fourth studio album ‘Made in Lagos’, “Essence” originally featured Nigerian talented songstress, Tems.

Due to the global acceptance of the song, Big Wiz decided to drop a deluxe version of the ‘Made in Lagos’ album which also had the remix of the smash tune ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and Canadian superstar Justin Bieber.

“Essence,” which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of “Best Global Music Performance” in 2022, has been doing well all year.

As the buzz continues, the iconic American new magazine has ranked it as its second best song of the year, behind ‘Pepas’ by Farruko.
