2021 BET AWARD: Burna Boy and Wizkid Got Nominated In The Best International Act Category

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar, Wizkid and Burna Boy are on the go!!, as they both got nominated at the 2021 BET Awards.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

Burna boy and Wizkid are without doubt one of the greatest and most decorated musical artists of all time, having won over 88 Awards(Wizkid 65, Burna boy 23) in over 270 nominations(Wizkid 223, Burna boy 47) including the Grammy Awards which they both won(Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category while Wizkid won the Best Music Video)

Both African legends are on the go once again, as they got nominated in the Best International Act category of the BET Awards 2021 alongside French singers, Aya Nakamura and Youssoupha; Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz; Brazlian act, Emicida; British acts, the rapper Headie One and the duo Yung T and Bugsey

The self claimed “GORILLA”, Burna boy has won in the last two years and The “Made In Lagos” hit-maker, Wizkid won it in 2012, when the category had two divisions for Africa and the UK.

Wizkid and Burna Boy also featured together in Wizkid’s video for ‘Ginger,’ which dropped earlier in the year.
