Popular Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has hit another global millstone.

Daddy Yo is now the most decorated African act at the MTV EMAs after he won  the ‘Best African Act’ category at this years event.

The Nigerian superstar successfully knocked off his colleague, Tems, Ghanaian artist- Amaarae, Tanzanian artist- Diamond Platnumz and South African hitmaker, Focalistic who were nominated in the same category.

Big Wiz has secured a total of seven MTV EMAs nominations and effortlessly won three awards. In 2016, he won the Best African Act and Worldwide Act awards.
