Nigerian superstar, Wizkid is officially the first African artiste to win a MTV Video Music Award.

The crooner hit the new millstone after his triumph on Sunday, September 12th, at the 2021 MTV VMAs in Brooklyn.

Wizkid won the award  for ‘Best Cinematography’ due to his contribution on Beyonce’s ‘Brown Skin Girl’ song.

The “Essence” crooner is currently on his ‘Made In Lagos’ tour, therefore, was unable to make it to the ceremony. However, he was congratulated by many of his fans, loved ones and colleagues.

Wizkid now has three most recognized international awards, which are; GRAMMYs, BET, and MTV Video Music.
