Angelique Kidjo Locks Comments Section On Instagram After Fans Of Wizkid Started Abusing Her
Angelique Kidjo, a Beninese artist, has been forced to delete the comment part of her Instagram page when irate Wizkid fans swarmed her space and verbally abused her after she won her fifth Grammy award over the weekend.
There has been tremendous disagreement online, particularly in the Nigerian area or landscape of social media, when the Beninese singer snatched the Best Global Music Album award for her song Mother Nature at the cost of Wizkid’s highly anticipated Made in Lagos album.
The noisy Wizkid supporters, collectively known as Staboy FC, have since been ridiculing and dragging her hard-won name through the mud for the accolade, which she displayed on Instagram with a contented smile.
To protect her sanity, she has locked the comment section, and no one can post comments except herself.
