Popular Nigerian singer, Ckay’s smash hit song, ‘Love Nwantiti’ has peaked at number one on the newly created Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.

The Afrobeats songs chart was launched on March 29, by Billboard in partnership with Afro Nation festival. It is aimed at ranking the top 50 Afrobeats songs in the US based on official streaming data from audio and video music services, as well as download sales from top music retailers.

The first ever list sees songstress, Tems dominating the chart with seven tunes whiles Ckay appeared twice with ‘Love Nwantiti’ occupying the number one spot on the chart as well.

Apart from the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Chart, ‘Love Nwantiti’ has also been dominating several local and international music charts including Billboard Hot 100.

In 2021 the song charted across Europe, Australia, Latin America, and New Zealand, reaching number one in India, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, and gained popularity across TikTok.
