“Embrace Igbos And Igbos Will Embrace Nigeria”– Reno Omokri Tells Buhari

Nigerian human right activist and lawyer, Reno Omokri has educated President Buhari on the best way to combat the crisis in the country, says Buhari should embrace Igbos

Omokri is the founder of the Free Leah Sharibu movement, which is a media campaign advocating for the freedom of Leah Sharibu, a Christian girl who was kidnapped by the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram, offering to release he if she would convert to Islam, but she refused to renounce her Christian faith.

He also successfully supported a campaign to unfollow Nigeria’s president, Muhammad Buhari on Twitter #UnfollowBuhari, leading to a 100,000 drop in the Nigerian President’s Twitter following in just 3 hours

Reno Omokri has taken to his social media page on Instagram, advising President Buhari to stop been partial in the affairs of the country because the best way to fight the crisis in the Southeast is not with guns, bullets, and helicopter gunship but rather development.

Reno Omokri further said that, President Buhari should visit each Igbo state and create a close bound with the Igbos, Pinning that, it is the best way to curb the crisis in the Southeast and not with guns, bullets, and helicopter gunship

Reno Omokri also told President Buhari to Be fair and balanced in his appointments and that he should consider appointing an Igbo man to replace General Attahiru

He wrote;

The best way to fight the rise of secessionists in the Southeast is not with guns, bullets and helicopter gunships. Give them development. Stop your nepotism. Be fair and balanced in your appointments. Consider an Igbo man to replace General Attahiru. Abandon the 97% versus 5% mentality. Lose your Igbophobia. Visit each Igbo state (Buhari has not visited Igboland since the 2019 election). Make Igbo monarchs pro-chancellors of federal universities in Northern Nigeria. Genuinely pursue an extra state for the Southeast in the Constitutional Reform process, so they are equal with other geopolitical zones. Encourage a major political party to consider an Igbo Presidential candidate. Embrace Igbos and Igbos will embrace Nigeria
