Funke Akindele deletes PDP’s political posts from her Instagram page After Losing Election
Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has taken down all of her political Instagram posts.
After running for governor and deputy governor of Lagos state under the People’s Democratic Party, Funke and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, erased all political posts about them on their Instagram profile, it was discovered.
Hours after Lagos’ 2023 gubernatorial elections were held amid allegations of violence and tribalism, Funke took action.
According to a previous report by Kemi Filani, Funke Akindele was defeated by incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Party in the voting unit 019, Ita Aro square, ga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos State (APC).
The statistics compiled from the voting unit show that PDP received a total of 19 votes while APC received 77. Three votes went to the Labour Party.
