‘Joke Of The Century’ – Nigerians React To CKay’s Absence From Headies 2022 List Of Nominees

The full list of nominees for the 15th edition of the Headies Awards was revealed by the organizers yesterday, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Portable, Magixx, Ugoccie, Fave, Oxlade, Ayra Starr, Ruger, and Fireboy DML were among the artists nominated in several categories.

CKay, whose song “Love Nwantiti” has sold over 8 million copies worldwide, was left off the list of nominees. Nigerians have taken to social media to express their disappointment at CKay’s absence from the 2022 Headies nominees.

While many people were ecstatic to see their favorite get a nomination, some believe CKay was robbed at this year’s awards. Some believe that CKay, who had the most popular song of the year, should be considered.
