Meet Fast Rising Rapper ‘Trod’, ‘The Younger Brother Of Late Yoruba Rapper Dagrin’

Dagrin, a young indigenous Yoruba rapper, was born in Nigeria a few years ago. Because of his talent, he was dubbed the “King of Indigenous Rap.”

He had a number of hit songs, including “pon pon pon”. Many notable Nigerian artists, including Oritse Femi, General Pype, and Konga, have featured him. He did, however, pass away on April 22nd, 2010. Trod, his younger brother, is on his way to become one of Nigeria’s top rappers.

Trod, whose full name is Olaonipekun Olatunbosun, is the late Dagrin’s younger brother. When asked what Trod stood for, he explained that it stood for “The Return Of Dagrin.” Misofunyin Entertainment, the musical label founded by his late brother, is currently signed to the young rapper. He is quickly establishing himself as a popular rapper, with over two hundred thousand Instagram followers.

He’s published a few songs and was also included on Zlatan’s remix of “money no dey Lagos.” Trod rose to prominence after making the top five on Olamide’s “who you epp” cover.

It is not easy to become a popular Nigerian artiste, but with hardwork, talent and dedication, he will defintely get to the top. He has also revealed in different interviews that he will become the biggest indigenous rapper in few years to come.
