My dad is going on holiday with my mum in celebration of no longer paying school fees for us – Nigerian man

A Nigerian man has taken to the microblogging site Twitter to share a story about his father’s joy at not having to worry about paying school fees for his children.

The tweep with the handle @MrMekzy_ stated that he noticed his father wearing a cheerful expression and asked him why.

His father expressed his joy, explaining that after 25 years of paying school fees, he will no longer have to worry about his children’s tuition in January, as he used to do before they all graduated.

He told his son that he had lived his life for them and that he now wants to relax and spend quality time with his wife.

”I noticed my dad has been extra happy for a while, I asked him why and he said “For the first time in over 25 years, I don’t have to think of school fees for 4 of you in January.

I’ve lived my life for you guys all these years, it’s time to live it for me and your mother. He’s packing all his things to go and spend the holidays with his wife, he legit can’t wait for this pandemic to be over.”
