“Running (To You)” By Chike & Simi Hits Millstone, Becomes Most Viewed Music Video in 2021(VIDEO)

Nigerian singer, Chike’s Hit-song ‘Running (To You)’ remix featuring fellow Nigerian singer, Simi has become the most most viewed music video in 2021 after gaining over 20 million views on YouTube.

The Nigerian singer took to his official Instagram page today, 20th of July 2021, to announce the achievement and express his gratitude to all those who made it possible.

Making the announcement, Chike wrote;

Woke up to 20 million views on #RunningToYou❤🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️ with @symplysimi

Chike teamed up with songstress, Simi, to make a remix for ‘Running’, which is a song off Chike’s album ‘boo of the booless’ and originally featured just the male singer.

“Boo of the Booless” is the debut album of Nigerian singer Chike. It was released on February 14, 2020. After its release the album took to the ground like a burning bush during the harmattan season.

The impact was so massive that the album was nominated for the “Album of the Year” and “Best R&B Album” categories at the 14th edition of prestigious Headies Awards, won the award of “Album of the Year” and the 2020 edition of the City People Awards and occupied the upper echelon if countless “Albums of the Year” lists including MTV Base Africa, Pulse Nigeria, NotJustOk amongst others.
