Tems Is Officially Spotify’s 2nd Most-Streamed African Female Act Of All Time

Nigerian songstress, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has Surpassed Yemi Alade to becomes Spotify’s 2nd most-streamed female artist of all time.

The new millstone was announced by Hot New Afrobeats via a post they recently shared on their Instagram page.

According to Hot New Afrobeats, Tems is currently the 2nd most streamed female artiste on Spotify, just behind Nigerian music goddess, Tiwa Savage, who is the most streamed female artist on their site.

This is coming after the “Try me” crooner dethroned Wizkid to become Spotify’s African act with the highest number of monthly with fourteen million listeners.

Born Temilade Openiyi, Tems musical career skyrocketed after Wizkid featured her on his hit song, “Essence”. Thanks to the song she made her first debut on Billboard chart, securing her a collabo with popular Canadian singer, Drake.
