“Thanks for the privilege” – Sabinus shares sample of HIS new N1000 notes following news of CBN redesigning Naira (Photo)
Popular Nigerian comedian, Sabinus, also known as Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, has published a fresh sample of N1000 notes having his image on it.
This came when news broke that the Central Bank of Nigeria, or CBN, had redesigned some Naira notes.
CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele announced the news on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in Abuja, at a special press conference.
He said that the old notes won’t be recognized as legal money beginning on January 31, 2023, explaining that the step was intended to seize control of the cash in circulation.
Sabinus, however, he posted a new sample of N1000 notes with his photographs and a Nigerian actor named Osita Iheme, better known by his stage name Pawpaw, on it on his verified Instagram profile.
He wrote, “Thank You Nigeria For The Privilege”.
