Nigerians have unearthed an old tweet from Ghanaian rapper Shatta Wale, in which he attempts to identify with Nigeria after slamming the country and its artists.

In a series of tweets, the reggae-dancehall artist attacked Nigerians, asking them to be grateful to Ghana for supporting their artists.

He said that Nigerian musicians regard Ghana as a paradise and that they flock to the country for numbers before achieving global recognition.

“It’s the truth, your artistes come here for numbers before the world can recognise them. Appreciate Ghana supporting your artiste and stop this foolishness.” His tweet read in part.

While the artist has continued to drag Nigerians, they have now unearthed a tweet from two years ago that shows Shatta Wale rejoicing after receiving a Nigerian passport and work permit.

“Thank God I just got my Naija passport with with permit. Proud Naija boy.” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale’s latest tweet resurfaced, acknowledging that Nigerians have gone all out in the art of music while encouraging Ghanaian video makers to be innovative and quit copying their Nigerian rivals.
