Tems Recounts Her Horrible Prison Experience In Uganda

Popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, has recounted her arrest in Uganda late last year.

Recall that on Sunday, 13th December, 2020, Tems and Omah Lay were arrested after performing at an unauthorized concert in Uganda tagged The Big Brunch and disobeying COVID-19 protocols.

The duo spent two days in police custody with a court hearing before they were released and returned to Nigeria on Thursday 17th December, 2020.

Recounting the experience, the “Damages” crooner said that she is yet to believe all the things she has seen.  She also testified that God is awesome and He will always have the last laugh.

She tweeted;

This very day Last Year, I was sitting in prison in Uganda bonding with women and kids.

I almost can’t believe the things I’ve seen so far.

All I can say is God is too awesome and He will always have the last and final laugh✨🙌🏾🥺
